Progressive Vocal Repertoire
(available for High Voice and Low Voice) is a collection of folk songs, spirituals, and classical art songs, which provides worthwhile, yet accessible, repertoire for the beginning singer.  This book should last through the first one to two years of private or class voice lessons and is appropriate for middle school, high school, and beginning college and adult singers.

Each song is preceded by texts, translations (when appropriate), historical context, and pedagogical suggestions. A “Music Theory Corner” has also been included for each piece to build students’ knowledge of music theory in addition to their technical skills.

Two accompaniment tracks are provided for each song. The first includes the melody line superimposed over the accompaniment to help the student learn their notes, and the second is simply the piano accompaniment. Downloadable MP3 tracks are available for free here, and CDs are available through the purchase page.

Song List:
All Through the Night, Greensleeves, Shenandoah, Danny Boy, Amazing Grace, Wiegenlied,
Somebody’s Knockin’ at Yo’ Door, Panis Angelicus, Caro Mio Ben, Adieu, My Lord What a Mornin’, Die
Lotosblume, Were You There, An Die Musik, Pie Jesu, When Love is Kind, Deep River, Amarilli Mia Bella

What Wondrous Love is This? is a collection of hymn arrangements for harp and solo instrument and is intended to provide a variety of repertoire appropriate for a worship setting throughout the liturgical year. The text for each hymn can be found preceding the arrangement. The music in this book is written at an intermediate to late-intermediate difficulty and is playable on pedal and lever harps. The solo parts can be played on a variety of single line instruments . The violin and flute are particularly effective in combination with the harp, but they are by no means the only instruments that should be used.
